Aqua Medic Aquaniveau 2.0 is electronic water level control device, which works using float sensors to automatically top up evaporated water or to control the filling of the reverse osmosis tank.
Principle of action
The device monitors the water level in the aquarium or sump through one or two float switches (sensor). When the water level falls below a certain threshold, the controller automatically activates a connected pump (dosing or feeding, to 600 W) or solenoid valve, to add water.
Modes of operation
Aqua Medic Aquaniveau 2.0 it can operate in two main modes depending on the user's needs and the configuration with the sensors:
- Automatic top up of aquarium/sump (ATO)
- With one sensor: The device maintains a constant water level through a single float switch. When the level drops, the pump turns on and runs, until the level recovers.
- With two sensors: The second sensor can be used as pump operation protection “dry” (damage protection, if the water in the make-up container runs out), or for more precise control between minimum and maximum level.
- RO tank filling control
- Two float sensors are used in this mode, to determine the minimum and maximum level in the reverse osmosis water tank (RO).
- When the level drops below the minimum, the controller opens a solenoid valve of the reverse osmosis system. When the maximum level is reached, the valve closes, stopping the flow of water.
The device offers easy installation and maintenance, with protective functions, including alarm and safe shutdown in case of sensor failure.
